Local History

I really don't have anything to say but I got a new camera and went to a grave yard in my city I had passed almost daily but never been to. So.....

She died in the early 1900s. How long have those shells been there....

What great shots--this is a breathtaking post. Where in the hometown is this? Somewhere off of scenic 98?

The "Darling we miss thee" grave is my favorite, if you can have a favorite grave.

Ha I know what you mean. I looked at the one with the two lambs sleeping on it and thought it was so cool. When I looked and saw that it was a grave for two young chldren who died during the Civil war it felt a little weird.

The graveyard is actually right by the Daphne Museum, which is across the street from Bayside. Capt. O'Neal is buried there! As in, Capt. O'Neal Drive.

I'm about to make another post with pictures that should be more familiar to you.
